Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about FSE — what we build, how we work, and what to expect when you bring us a project.

About FSE

Where is FSE located?

Our 135,000 sq ft facility is in Elkridge, Maryland — along the I-95 corridor between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The location gives us geographic reach across both the Mid-Atlantic and the broader East Coast supply chain.

How big is FSE?

We operate a 135,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility with ESD and humidity-controlled manufacturing floors, automated wire prep, climate-controlled storage, and on-site engineering, prototyping, and testing.

Who are FSE's customers?

We build for the world's most demanding companies — Honeywell, Northrop Grumman, Google, Meta, Amazon, Daifuku, Cubic, Wabtec, Siemens, and many others. Our work spans hyperscale data centers, defense and aerospace, industrial automation, and renewable energy infrastructure.

Is FSE just a manufacturer, or do you integrate complete systems?

We're both, but our differentiator is integration. We engineer the components, manufacture them in our facility, and integrate complete systems that ship commission-ready. Most contract manufacturers stop at parts. We deliver finished, validated systems.

Capabilities & Services

Does FSE manufacture custom UL 508A industrial control panels?

Yes. We're a fully certified UL 508A panel builder, assembling and certifying high-complexity enclosures and control cabinets on-site.

Can FSE manufacture custom liquid cooling skids and manifolds for AI data centers?

Yes. We build modular cooling skids, liquid-to-liquid manifolds, and CDU enclosures with custom valved hose configurations engineered for AI cluster thermal loads.

Is FSE an ITAR-registered manufacturer?

Yes. FSE is fully ITAR registered and NIST SP 800-171 compliant, with restricted-access zones for high-consequence defense and aerospace programs.

Does FSE build custom switchgear, switchboards, and powertrain assemblies?

Yes. We manufacture custom LV and MV switchgear, switchboards, automatic transfer switches, custom powertrain, and full e-house integrations. All built to UL 508A and BABA standards.

Does FSE excel at custom, high-mix builds?

Yes. High-mix custom integration is one of our specialties. Where other contract manufacturers stall on varied configurations, evolving specs, and long BOMs, our engineering and operational flexibility lets us deliver.

What testing does FSE perform?

100% functional testing, Hi-pot isolation testing, continuity validation, Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Every assembly is tested before it ships.

Does FSE handle high-volume automated wire preparation?

Yes. Our automated wire processing and stripping machinery handles high-volume cable assemblies and complex internal cabinet routing with full precision.

Working with FSE

What do I need to get a quote?

Whatever you have. A finalized print, a rough sketch, a spec sheet, an RFQ — we'll work with any starting point. Upload it through our contact form or send it directly to info@getfse.com.

What's the typical turnaround time?

Yes. We build modular cooling skids, liquid-to-liquid manifolds, and CDU enclosures with custom valved hose configurations engineered for AI cluster thermal loads.
